The tools for building using Visual C++ or Platform SDK are in the src/tools/msvc directory. Building with Visual Studio 2017 and Visual Studio 2019 is supported down to Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. Building with Visual Studio 2015 is supported down to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Compilation is supported down to Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 when building with Visual Studio 2005 to Visual Studio 2013. 64-bit PostgreSQL builds are supported with Microsoft Windows SDK version 6.0a to 10 or Visual Studio 2008 and above. 32-bit PostgreSQL builds are possible with Visual Studio 2005 to Visual Studio 2019, as well as standalone Windows SDK releases 6.0 to 10.
